I really do enjoy smoking and I’ve always been aware of the health consequences tobacco cigarettes can bring. But until something happens, HE-MAN is your middle name. One night my girlfriend told me she noticed some wheezing from me. Of course I couldn’t hear myself but after sticking my head in a box (yes I actually did this) I heard the whistling echo of my struggling lungs. Not wanting to end up sick, yet not wanting to quit smoking I found myself in a bind.
It was while searching on Google for healing times for my lungs that I stumbled upon this great smoking alternative known as electronic cigarettes. Curious, I immediately started scouring the web for information on e cig products. It was essential I research the history to really understand this product. A few web pages later I discovered a company called SBT co. Ltd based in China patented the product in 2003. SBT co. Ltd was taken over shortly after by Ruyan (now known as SBT Ruyan Technology and Development co Ltd). In 2004 the first electronic cigarette was sold. Since then electronic cigarettes have popped up everywhere.
I purchased my first kit later that day and have not looked back. I can still smoke and it is clearly a cheaper and appears to be a much safer choice when compared to traditional tobacco. Shortly after I fired up this website and my e-cig review site began.
Unfortunately electronic cigarettes are under fire from governments around the world. Some countries have banned importation of e cigs while the US has put up blocks until legal issues can be resolved. Some argue eletronic cigs should be classified as a drug due to the nicotine content that is packed in the “filter” area while others say it’s not FDA approved. It’s worth mentioning that cigarettes aren’t FDA approved either. They can also be abused and kill plenty hundreds of thousands of people each year.
